Bribery case leads to swift change of government in Estonia; PM resigns but maintains innocence amid continuing probe into Tallinn development project corruption

Estonia will undergo a rapid change in government following a corruption probe which cast shade on several members of the country’s second-biggest party – and forced the Prime Minister to resign.

Following an announcement from the national Public Prosecutor’s Office, two days of political mayhem have resulted in PM Jüri Ratas of the Centre Party relinquishing the reins of government after over four years in power.
