US judge rules BNP Paribas must face allegations related to Sudan conflict; bank’s request to dismiss lawsuit largely rejected

A federal judge in New York has rejected part of a request by the world’s eighth-largest bank to dismiss a high-profile case against it.

The rejection means that BNP Paribas will still need to fight a lawsuit that claims it violated human rights through its associations with the Sudanese government in the 2000s.
