Russian opposition leader, Alexei Navalny has said the fight against corruption is a “secondary agenda” on the world stage, and pleaded with world leaders to sanction oligarchs.
In an opinion piece for The Guardian, Mr Navalny described how “corruption played no small part in (his) survival” following a Novichok nerve agent attack in August 2020. He added that corruption has “contaminated the (Russian) intelligence services” and state system.
