Bank rules targeting ‘politically exposed persons’ are causing problems for a number of MPs, according to UK policing minister

“Politically exposed persons” rules have prevented banks from lending to MPs and their families, UK policing minister Chris Philp has said.

Philp voiced his concerns after Nigel Farage’s account with Coutts, a NatWest subsidiary, was closed.
