NEWS: Britain’s FCA writes to lenders formally asking who they have ‘de-banked’

The UK’s top financial watchdog wrote to banks today (Wednesday) seeking details on who has been “de-banked” as part of an investigation into the relationship between banking services and free speech. 

The move by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) comes after chancellor Jeremy Hunt told the regulator last week to establish urgently how many customers had been blacklisted for their political views.
