The 2024 European Anti-Financial Crime Summit is to take place in Dublin on May 16 next, it was announced today (Thursday).
The summit – organised by AML Intelligence – aims to foster critical discussions among international leaders, regulators, and experts from AML, AFC and cyber-crime.
Next year’s summit follows the resounding success of this year’s ground-breaking European Anti-Financial Crime summit which took place on May 25 last at the RDS Convention Centre. The event was attended by some 450 AFC decision-makers and C-Suite executives from across the EU and UK.
Former FATF president and Deputy DG at Germany’s federal finance ministry Marcus Pleyer spoke at the 2023 Summit and described it as “the event of the year.” Dr Pleyer is now leading out the establishment of Germany’s new AML super-agency, the Federal Office for Combating Financial Crime (BBF)
“Drawing from the triumphs and insights garnered during the prior summit, this coming assembly is poised to pave the way for enhanced collaboration and enforcement strategies on a global scale,” said AML Intelligence MD James Treacy.
“Once again we will have a stellar line up of high-profile speakers from banking, financial services, regulators, law enforcement, data protection leaders, the gaming industry as we well as EU and UK government representatives,” he said.
