NEWS: Treasury’s FinCEN to hold information sessions across US cities to fight fentanyl trafficking

FinCEN, the financial crime unit of the Treasury, has announced a public-private exchange initiative to inform at-risk cities of how to better combat fentanyl trafficking.

Sessions dubbed ‘Promoting Regional Outreach to Educate Communities on the Threat of Fentanyl’, or PROTECT, will be held by FinCEN through the remainder of 2024 in U.S. cities that are highly impacted by the opioid epidemic.
