A subsidiary of BNP Paribas has been hit with a €3 million penalty in Luxembourg due to multiple AML failings.
CSSF (Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier), Luxembourg’s financial regulator, imposed the fine on BGL BNP Paribas, a Luxembourgish bank which is part of the wider BNP Paribas group.

The Securities and Exchange Commission’s Crypto Task Force has announced the agenda and panelists for its April 11 roundtable, “Between a Block and a Hard Place: Tailoring Regulation for Crypto Trading.”
“Hearing the public’s concerns and suggestions helps the SEC create a clear, sensible, and fair path forward for the crypto industry,” said Commissioner Hester M. Peirce, leader of the Crypto Task Force. “I look forward to this roundtable and the rest of the series as we move toward crypto clarity for the benefit of the American public.”
29 arrested and 26 tonnes of illegal plant protection products seized in France and Spain

Law enforcement from France and Spain, supported by Europol, have arrested 29 members of a criminal organisation for selling illegal plant protection products. The investigation revealed that the gang had sold 25 tonnes of these products, mainly in France. Investigators estimate that the suspects earned more than EUR 5 million from their illicit activities.
