NEWS: Jersey gets favourable report from MONEYVAL; body finds island has technical compliance, urges more AML prosecutions

MONEYVAL has given Jersey a broadly positive review in its latest in-depth assessment, saying the British Crown Dependency has significantly strengthened its legal and regulatory system to combat money laundering.

However, the organisation said while the jurisdiction now has a strong AML framework in place, it warned that Jersey’s improved rating is largely reliant on technical compliance and the island must put a greater focus on practical AML steps.
