The head of financial crime in the Spanish police is alleged to have received bribes of up to €1 million per tip-off in a massive cocaine smuggling operation, according to a news report.

An investigation by Spain’s Internal Affairs allegedly found that for five years, the commander provided critical intelligence that allowed drug traffickers to smuggle containers of cocaine through major Spanish ports.
