NEWS: Senator Elizabeth Warren blasts failure to charge TD Bank executives in $3bn AML case

U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren has criticized the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) recent settlement with TD Bank, arguing that it failed to hold the lender’s executives accountable for severe money laundering violations. 

In a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland, Warren claimed the DOJ’s actions let TD “sidestep” penalties Congress intended for such crimes.
