MICHEÁL Martin, Ireland’s Taoiseach (prime minister), has sent his best wishes for the ‘European Anti-Financial Crime Summit 2025’ in Dublin in May.
The Taoiseach today (Thursday) said he “extends his very best wishes” for the event ahead of the Summit on May 7.
Ireland has recently initiated several schemes to tackle financial crime, such as the Central Bank’s ‘Sandbox’ program, which encourages the development of AML products. It was also confirmed on Thursday that Derville Rowland, deputy Central Bank governor, is set to join the executive board of AMLA.

The summit will see 700+ senior C-Suite, decision-maker delegates attend in Dublin’s RDS Convention Center.
The event is set to be the standout industry event of the year, with recent confirmation that newly-appointed AMLA chair Bruna Szego will give a keynote address.

Confirmed speakers include Paschal Donohoe, the President of the Eurogroup of finance ministers.
Prominent UK figures attending include Andrea Bowe, Director at the Specialist Directorate at the Financial Conduct Authority.
Other top speakers include the likes of Gemma Rogers, the AML Lead at Stripe, Karen Bisset, Head of Financial Crime at Bank of Ireland and Brian McKenzie – the Head of Financial Crime & MLRO at AIB Bank.
