NEWS: PCB Lawyers avoids tribunal referral over AML failings

By PAUL O’DONOGHUE, Senior Correspondent

PCB Lawyers has been fined £25,000 for failing to perform proper anti-money laundering (AML) checks when acting for a politically exposed person (PEP).

The company, a central London firm, received the penalty from the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). The fine was reduced because the firm’s traditional structure limits fines to £25,000.
