STANDARD Chartered has lost its bid to limit a £1.5bn lawsuit over alleged Iran sanctions breaches, allowing a broad group of investors to continue their claims.

The High Court in London ruled against the bank on Tuesday. The bank had argued that only investors who had read or were aware of its allegedly misleading statements should be allowed to sue.
