NEWS: Scott Bessent says US banks will be allowed to ‘de-prioritize’ lower AML risks

U.S. financial institutions will be permitted to “de-prioritize” lower anti-money laundering (AML) risks, according to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.

He also pledged that regulations would be eased on smaller lenders, such as community banks, to help fuel growth.
