The Sicilian capital, Palermo, has gotten the green light from the city’s council to bid to host the new EU anti-money laundering authority (AMLA).
Palermo’s councillors have now approved the proposal from Councillor for Productive Activities, Giuliano Forzinetti, who said the city would be the “symbolically best place” to fight dirty money, reports PalermoToday.
