Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) Director Andrea Gacki hosted a virtual meeting today with Ilit Ostrovitch-Levi, the Director-General of the Israel Money Laundering and Terror Financing Prohibition Authority (IMPA), which serves as Israel’s financial intelligence unit (FIU).
Director Gacki and Director-General Ostrovitch-Levi discussed areas of cooperation, “to include financial intelligence information sharing in support of Israel following Hamas’ brutal terrorist attacks on innocent civilians of October 7,” said the US Department of the Treasury fincrime agency.
“FinCEN is redoubling its efforts to combat the financing of terrorism alongside IMPA and other strategic FIU partners during this critical time,” the agency said.
