SHELL companies enable the fentanyl trade to flourish in the US, contributing to 100,000 deaths a year, an anti-corruption expert has said.
Elaine Dezenski, the senior head of the Center on Economic and Financial Power at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, said beneficial ownership reporting must be introduced to ensure that criminals cannot easily funnel drug profits through corporate entities.
