EXPLAINER: New Wolfsberg Group guide sets out responsibilities for banks on international payment transparency

BANKS should search for ‘incomplete’ information in payment messages to counteract money laundering, the Wolfsberg Group has warned.

The group, an association of 12 global banks which develops AFC guidelines, has just published its “Payment Transparency Roles & Responsibilities” guidance.
