NEWS: EU central bankers push for simpler rules to boost competitiveness

FOUR top central bankers in the European Union have urged regulators to simplify banking rules.

In a letter to the European Commission, the governors of the Spanish, German, Italian, and French central banks called for a “comprehensive analysis” of regulations. They argued that this review could ensure a “level playing field” with global competitors.
