Multiple banks and other firms will have to divulge information on wealthy Americans linked to tax fraud case

Several global financial institutions operating in the US may need to divulge information on certain wealthy clients to authorities as part of a tax evasion investigation.

A recent court order now allows US authorities to demand financial details on a set list of unidentified individuals if they are suspected of involvement with Panamanian law firm Panama Offshore Legal Services (POLS).
