A Fraud Analyst has a critical role in helping Santander Consumer Bank to fulfill its legal and regulatory obligations when it comes to Fraud activities. Santander recognizes its responsibility to prevent Fraud activities in order to protect its shareholders, customers, partners, employees, and reputation. The key to making this happen is a Fraud Analyst.
The role will report directly to the Fraud Leader and closely collaborate with both the Risk and Customer Behavior teams.
The main responsibility of a Fraud Analyst will be to analyze, scrutinize, and investigate potential cases of Fraud and report to authorities when required. All Fraud Analysts will work cross-functional covering all the Bank’s products and must be able to investigate fraud cases. The Fraud Analyst will constantly keep up to date on market trends and actively apply this knowledge to identify, investigate and prevent instances of Fraud both internally and externally.
During the process of investigating Fraud cases, the investigator will interact with other financial institutions, collections agencies, and local. The Fraud Analyst will also represent (witness) Santander Consumer Bank in court when it comes to fraud cases.
The Fraud Analyst will be involved in reviewing, investigating, and determining payment liability in fraud cases and also perform the Fraud write-offs. This task is crucial to an organization and has a direct impact on bottom-line costs.
Skills & Requirements
- +2 years of relevant work experience in the area of Fraud
- Understanding and working knowledge of Fraud regulations
- Experience with Investigations, Research, Analysis, or Interpretation of Regulations
- Proven experience in investigations and/or transaction monitoring /fraud prevention work
- In-depth knowledge of Fraud and other banking regulations and how they are interpreted across the Nordics
- Ability to work across functions and organizational boundaries
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority issues/deliverables at the same time
- The ability to work at a high pace
- The ability to take responsibility and drive her/his own development
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Swedish
